Simon Geyer
I was born in 1985 in Passau, Germany, and started my journey in the world of software development by completing an apprenticeship in 2006.
In 2008, I began my career as a backend software developer, and in 2014, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Media Informatics and Information Science. During my studies, working as a student, I deepened my expertise in mobile and web development. I also learned firsthand the benefits and requirements of Git operations, build pipelines, and agile workflows for successful software projects. I was fortunate to secure a permanent position as a DevOps engineer, managing Jenkins along with cloud and on-premise infrastructures. Alongside these professional achievements, I embraced significant life changes, including becoming the father of two children and transitioning to roles as a Site Reliability Engineer and Release Manager. My studies culminated in 2024 with a formal degree in Media Informatics and Information Science.
Fueled by a constant hunger for new knowledge and a passion for the latest technologies, I developed a holistic view as an IT all-rounder. I have accumulated wide-ranging expertise—from seamless migration between cloud and on-premise environments to building and finding robust solutions and guiding companies through certifications like Tisax. My entrepreneurial thinking, coupled with a commitment to efficient, sensible solutions and strong teamwork, has now inspired me to embark on the path of self-employment.
